Cervical Cancer.Cervical cancer is a cancer affect in woman’s sex. More than 300.000 women around the world die because of cervical cancer. In general, the women in 40 till 55 years old risk getting cervical cancer. HPV (human papilloma virus) is virus which cause cervical cancer and may transmitted through sexual contact. This virus can remain in woman’s sex for along time. And in this period, this virus can induce abnormal changes in the cervical cells.
Some risk factors which lead to cervical cancer are numerous sex partners over a period of time, weak immune status, early sexual activity (immature cells of cervix), smoking, etc.
Screening test may detect cervical cancer in an early stage. There is Pap smear test. This test will take little cells from cervix, and observe the condition in microscope. Is there any abnormal sign from cell or not. It is recommended for women, to get Pap smear test at least one in a year. This is for prevention and diagnoses cervical cancer in early stage.
There are many symptoms when woman gets cervical cancer. The most common symptoms of cervical cancer can include pelvic pain, increase in the frequency of urination, unexpected vaginal discharge or bleeding, etc.
The treatment of cervical cancer can include chemotherapy, radiation, and surgical procedures (removing ovaries, fallopian tubes, and uterus). For the complete procedure you can check here.
